Thursday October 7, 2:00 p.m.

It's been a while but when one doesn't have ready access anymore.... However, I found out to my pleasure that my sports club does have one monitor and keyboard with ADSL access and it's free. Luckily, most of my fellow athletes are pretty senior so they don't really have much interest in computers. But for today, I'm back at the Kinkos.

The weather had been pretty wet for the first part of this week but yesterday saw some sun and nice temps and we're much of the same today. However, from tomorrow, we'll be on the lookout for yet another typhoon coming our way. We also had a bit of another kick from Mother Nature last night when a M5.8 temblor shook the Kanto around midnight. Just some fallen stuff from my shelves but nothing major.

I actually did get a class at the ol' school on Tuesday. I made the most of it by pulling out the Dancing Bear routine. Had the kids in stitches...even cured one girl's headache. Goes to show that laughter is indeed the best medicine. Now, I gotta scout out some of the international supermarkets like National Azabu and what remains of Kinokuniya for those big orange pumpkins.

Glad to see that those painters are finally dismantling the scaffolding that's been girdling my balcony a week longer than expected. But with all the rain that's been coming down, their project had to be extended.

Well, had the Jazz Buddy today. Looks like she never made it out to Taiwan after all on account that her passport had expired. The entire incident took place right at the airport just when she and her buddy checked in at the airline counter. Her trip ended up being a nice little sendoff for her erstwhile traveling companion. Ah well, live and learn.

And it looks like Skippy hasn't responded to my invitation for PH's big Thanksgiving do on Sunday. Ah, well...that's life.

Not quite sure when I'll check in next. Maybe if I'm lucky, it'll be tomorrow night after my workout.
